It is with great pleasure that we extend our invitation to you on behalf of the MoDeSt Society. We invite you to join us at the 12th MoDeSt Conference, which will take place at the Embarcadère in Lyon from August 30th to September 3rd, 2026. The MoDeSt Conference is organized by POPPI team of Institute of Chemistry of Clermont-Ferrand (ICCF) and IMP Laboratory of INSA Lyon/Université de Lyon.
As the foremost international congress dedicated to advancing the understanding of polymer modification, degradation and stabilization processes, the MoDeSt Conference serves as the flagship event of the MoDeSt Society, a non-profit organization bringing together polymer scientists across Europe and around the world. Established in 2000, the MoDeSt Conference is held every two years and consistently attracts a diverse and international audience. By gathering renowned researchers, industrial experts, and emerging scientists from across the globe, this unique event offers a dynamic platform for sharing innovative findings, discussing fundamental and applied challenges, and fostering international collaboration.
We strongly encourage the participation of industry representatives, recognizing the pivotal importance of collaboration between universities and research centers. Through plenary and invited lectures, oral and poster presentations, the conference will address central themes such as molecular and macromolecular mechanisms of degradation, chemical and physical pathways for material modification, and performance optimization under complex environmental conditions to improve durability and recyclability.
By addressing topics ranging from polymer degradation, stabilization, and recycling to emerging sustainable materials and advanced characterization techniques, MoDeSt 2026 aims to help shape the future of polymer science for a more sustainable and responsible world.
